We are Kevin and Bea, the two people behind MotForge. We love video games, we have plenty of ideas, and we have decided to bring them to life by making games of our own.
Some ideas grow out of things we have enjoyed for years. Others begin with a question: “What if we tried this?” Sometimes imagining a small mechanic, a different way to solve a puzzle, or a world we would like to spend some time in is enough to make us want to start building it.
MotForge is where those interests come together. There is room here for the classics we always return to, the intensity of an arcade game, and more personal ideas we are still trying to put into words. We enjoy having that freedom to explore and discover where each project might take us.
The question we keep coming back to is simple: would we want to play this?
That is where things get interesting. Turning an idea into something you can touch, try, and understand by playing. Finding out whether a challenge sparks curiosity, whether a run makes you want to try again, or whether a small decision makes the experience more enjoyable.
We want to experiment. Mix things together, explore possibilities, and leave room for the occasional wild idea. We also want to learn to recognise when an idea needs to change, become simpler, or wait a little longer. Every game gives us a chance to discover something we can take into the next one.
That is why we have opened The Forge.
We want to share what is taking shape at MotForge: introduce new projects, show our progress, and talk about the decisions behind what you see on screen. There will be room for mechanics, art, experiments, and the little things that can change how a game feels.
We also want to share the uncertainties. When an idea is still finding its way, when we are trying different options, or when something surprises us as we play. That part of the process has a lot to do with the kind of studio we want to build.
We are a small team, and every project has its own pace. Some games are made to keep you company during a break; others give us a chance to explore something bigger. In all of them, we are looking for an experience we are excited to create and that is worth sharing.
We have plenty to learn and quite a few ideas waiting their turn. We will bring them here as we have something to show you.
For now, the forge is lit.
